I have never really liked John Deere I still firmly believe that there are no better lawn and garden tractor than Wheel Horse and Work Horse from the good old year of 1984

In the late 60's nearly every farm around about us in northern England ran DB's , we had a 880 3 cylinder implematic bought from just over the scotish border and 2 1966 selectamatic 880s one bought from the next farm which was added to ours and has worked on the same land all its 58 years and will be used again this summer , if it comes to a hill it does not die back unlike most modern engines.

The year they featured Ford at Badger Steam and Gas Engine show at Baraboo Wisconsin, a guy brought a 8N Ford, that he had installed a V12 Lincoln engine in it. It ran super smooth and looked like a work of art!

My dad talked about all the time 😊. Was this the only example of a tractor manufacturer that built a regular production engine to run on gas and diesel. ? I've never heard of another. They also had an earlier tractor, big 4 cylinder, lot more cubic inches that started on gas, and you switch over, not a row crop tractor. Does an expert here know if that was a similar head design to accomplish this. ?

At 10 years old the first tractor I learned to drive myself is a Belarus 250 AS

I think the hazard of crank starting something like that would be way more dangerous than a steam engine, especially for a surgeon. 😀

It really hurts to watch this! I‘m surprised that he did get it started after all. You‘re not supposed to set the tractor on fire. It takes a very hot, small flame directed at the hot bulb inside the hot bulb housing. This flame was way too big and cold! There should be no flames protruding from the hot bulb housing!!! There are plenty of videos on how to start a Lanz Bulldog properly on UA-cam.

I have a 120 my dad had it but he sold it for me for all my dollars and I only have $4 so I gave him my full dollars😢

Both are great looking tractors. I am confused about the sound of the gold one though. A few times there it sounded like it had a turbo but there was no turbo. Anyone else notice that sound as well?

I have a 1194 case, same as 880 db.dB. case bought them out about 1984 and changed the design somewhat, however engine same and most everything else.

My 1965 case 930ck comes with a foot throttle as well. I think that was cases signature feature besides the eagle
